Islanders Jive recreation Single Kayak
Islanders Jive Recreation Kayak is a real classic recreational boat, brilliant if you want a low maintenance sure way of getting on the water for the whole day. Its gentle ease of paddling is great for exploring the coast, estuary or inland waters on a chilled out day. The rounded hull is both slippery for speed and yet with a strong keel and drop down skeg, it is directionally stable.
The Jive has a large accessible cockpit with fully moulded padded seat and adjustable padded backrest. To hold yourself firmly in the boat it is made easier with cockpit thigh pads and adjustable footrests.
Stowage is via the large doomed aft hatch which provides access to the hold behind the seat or you could use the fore deck bungies for easy to grab gear.
Transport like all the Islanders is made simple by fore and aft carry handles and an anodised lock bar.
The Jive comes in Sunset Orange and Cloud Blue. A dramatic swirl of vibrant colour.
Get to Know Islander Kayaks
Islander Kayaks are based and manufactured down in the Westcountry at the factory in Clevedon, Somerset, England. They only make kayaks and not wheelie bins, unlike many manufacturers. As a result the kayaks are really built to last. They are all made and assembled by hand at the Islander factory by skilled staff. Islander fit only premium parts to their kayaks. Such parts include corrosion resistant stainless fixtures: moulded in brass captive nuts, and premium Palm backrests.

Islander love paddling and the environment. As a result Islander is really keen to get the family kayaking and on the water. In addition to this they strive to do it environmentally. As a result several of their kayaks 100% recycled.
