BLUE WHALE CAFE

From The Blue Whale Café at Ashby’s of Salcombe you can enjoy sweeping panoramic views across the entire South Hams – from the rolling hills that lead down to Hope Cove, right up to the rugged granite of Dartmoor, and down the descending valleys leading down onto the banks of the Salcombe – Kingsbridge estuary! With both a spacious patio, as well as large glass windows in the café itself, this view can be enjoyed comfortably in all weathers – whether that be behind the enormous glass panes at the side of the restaurant or under a parasol on the patio!

Open 7 days a week from morning to late afternoon, the Blue Whale Café’s chefs work to prepare fresh, locally sourced food from scratch by working in partnership with local farmers and our own in-house butcher. Aside from our varied menu, which also caters for vegetarians and vegans, we maintain a freshly baked cake counter so you can treat yourself if you so please! Whether you want a great breakfast, snack or just a drink – The Blue Whale Café can cater for you and our chefs take great pride in making the most delicious food possible!

We are easily accessible by car, with ample free customer parking provided around our shop, and are also located on a regular local bus route as well as being located on the Malborough to Salcombe cycle and footpath!

Dogs:- Our furry friends are allowed in the cafe and patio area with owners BUT NOT the Main Shop or Butchery.
